Tianjin Antiwear Intelligent Wear Monitoring System (IWMS)
This system consists of intelligent bolts for detecting the thickness of liners, wireless data transmitters, data receivers, and data display monitors.
The intelligent bolts are of the same specifications as those used in the mill. No extra holes are required to drill on the mill shell. As the liner thickness wears down during operation, the intelligent bolts can continuously monitor the abrasion and transmit wear data to the control room.
Site operation team can monitor the wear status of the liners, getting forecasted service life and determine the replacement cycle without shuting down the euipment from running or sending people into the equipment for physical measurement. This significantly improves production efficiency and worker`s safety.
By comparing the wear data and service life of the liners with the regular shutdown cycle, the ultilization of linercan be maximized, inventory levels and capital occupation can be reduced. And these data can also provide a reference for liner suppliers to optimize the product design.
